SystemTeknik employee has raced his way into the A-class of Danish road cycling.
A strong 8th-place finish in the Rønde Sparekasse Licensløb earned Johannes enough points to move up to the Danish A-class.
By day, Johannes is an electrician apprentice at our Nørresundby branch. Although that is where he spends most of his week, he still finds time for 10–15 hours of training on the bike.
Cycling has been a common thread through most of his life. He started out on the roads with his father before becoming a licensed rider 10 years ago. Today, Johannes rides for Team Aalborg Sparekassen Danmark, which now has a new A-class rider on its roster.
Although achieving results takes both time and dedication, Johannes describes how the bike is also his sanctuary – a place where he can take a break from the noise of everyday life.
What does it mean to move up to the A-class in road cycling?
In road cycling, the A-class is the top class, where the best Danish riders compete. It means longer and tougher races and much fiercer competition. At this level, riders are selected for bigger races and become part of the talent pipeline for the biggest teams in the sport.
To move up from the B-class to the A-class, a rider must collect 80 points over the course of a season – a milestone Johannes has now reached.
At SystemTeknik, we are proud to have employees like Johannes who manage to combine training and work with a passion pursued at a high level.
Both the work at SystemTeknik and racing on the road demand precision, determination and teamwork. Johannes’ impressive performance is therefore not only a sporting victory but also a reflection of the values we prize as a company.
We are proud to have Johannes as part of our team in Nørresundby – and we look forward to following both his professional development as an electrician and his continued journey on the roads.
