Component replacement in electrical panels and control panels

Component replacement in electrical and control panels is one of the most direct ways to extend the lifetime of your installation and prevent unexpected downtime. At SystemTeknik, our certified service technicians replace everything from circuit breakers up to 6,300 A to relays, fuses, contactors and control components – regardless of make and regardless of how old the panel is.

  • Up to 6,300 A – regardless of brand

  • Short waiting times

What does component replacement involve?

Component replacement covers the planned or emergency replacement of individual parts in an electrical or control panel that are worn, defective, outdated or about to be discontinued. Rather than replacing the entire panel, we extend the lifetime of the installation by replacing precisely the components that are weak.

We work with distribution panels, control panels and custom panels. The replacement often follows panel testing or a panel inspection in which we have found that a component no longer meets the requirements.

Why is timely replacement important?

A single worn component can stop an entire installation. In a data center or an OEM production environment, unplanned downtime can cost far more than the component that failed. That is why component replacement is as much about risk management as it is about maintenance.

With 70+ years of experience in Danish panel production, we know when a component needs to be replaced before it turns into an operational shutdown. We are locally rooted with production in Nørresundby, Thy and Hadsund – and cover all of Denmark.

How a replacement is carried out

We follow a structured process that minimizes wasted time and ensures full documentation. This means you do not just get a component replaced – you get a traceable upgrade of your panel.

  1. Assessment and testing

Our technician tests the relevant components and identifies weaknesses.

  2. Quote and component selection

We recommend the right, durable component and provide a quote.

  3. Sourcing components

Through our supplier agreements, we can typically carry out the replacement without waiting time.

  4. On-site replacement

Installation of circuit breakers up to 6,300 A, regardless of brand.

  5. Functional testing and documentation

We test the new component and deliver a clear report.

If the panel as a whole is worn out, we advise on a broader panel solution rather than just spot replacements.

What is included in a replacement?

When SystemTeknik handles component replacement, you get a complete solution from assessment to commissioning. Our certified technicians handle the entire process, and you get a clear report, so you know exactly what has been replaced and why.

Component replacement can stand alone as an emergency job or be part of a planned service and maintenance agreement, where we keep a continuous eye on your installation.

Standards and certifications

Component replacement must not compromise the standard the panel was built to. We work to recognized international standards and document our work.

If your panel needs to meet North American requirements, note that UL panels require UL-certified cables and components. Read more about our full documentation under certifications.

  • UL 508A – industrial control panels, relevant for control panels for the USA and Canada.
  • UL 891 – switchboards/distribution panels for the North American market.
  • ISO 9001 – quality management that ensures a consistent process and documentation.
  • ISO 14001 – environmental management and correct handling of replaced components.
  • IEC 61131-3 – when replacing control components, we coordinate the PLC programming with our specialized partner.

What size of circuit breakers can you replace and test?

We test and replace components, including circuit breakers, up to 6,300 A. Read more about panel testing.

How quickly can you source a component?

Thanks to good partnerships and supplier agreements, we can in many cases replace components without waiting time. If you enter into a planned service agreement, we also notify you well in advance when components are being discontinued.

Do you cover panel component replacement in the Aalborg area?
